Dalziel is an intrepid and imaginative social justice activist and counseling psychologist from Nairobi, Kenya. Dalziel is passionate and committed to improving trans lives in East Africa. He has over 9 years of experience in trans activism. He is a past Open Society Foundation Fellow, where he interned with Iranti-Org focusing on trans and gender non-conforming individuals across Africa. He is also a 2016 Mandela Washington Fellow. He has previously worked with Jinsiangu as Finance Officer and Psychosocial Support Coordinator where he initiated, designed, developed and strengthened the psychosocial support program. He is currently the Programme Director of EATHAN (East Africa Trans Health & Advocacy Network); a network of intersex, transgender and gender non-conforming individuals and organizations in East Africa. He is also practising as a psychotherapist with an aim of providing competent and holistic psychosocial support to queer, trans, intersex and non-binary persons.
